School Roofs are Notorious Rocket Stealers Review by Jeffrey

Lol. I can't tell you how many ESTES rockets me and my dad put on my old middle school as a kid. If i was to hazard a guess i would probably guess around 15 of them without any exaggeration. You are probably also wondering why we would continue to launch from that sight?

~Can't wait Review by George

After all the positive reviews. I can't wait to build it!

Love this rocket Review by Aerojacket

I just built and flew mine for the first time last week. Spend the time to get the glider properly trimmed (lots of hand launches in the front yard) and the flights will be great. Mine ejected the engine pod, did a vertical loop, then settled into a nice glide for a perfect landing. It was definitely a crowd favorite, and the one my kids are still talking about.
This is one that is well worth a careful build, extra sanding, and attention to detail. I've already ordered a second kit.

WOW..... Review by draney13

Fun to build...I put a layer of wood glue on the whole rocket for durability. This thing is the coolest glider I've seen so far. I looks fantastic in the air.

Blast from the past Review by Betterduck

This is an old rocket that Estes made many years ago and as kids we always considered this the best rocket they ever made. I've waited for years for this classic to come back and I couldn't be happier. My boys enjoy this model just as much as I did many years ago. Thanks Estes!

Very cool Review by Don

Launched mine twice so far, once with a "B" once with a "C" this thing is cool. I painted mine to look like an old Vulcan bomber .You need a good/large grassy launch spot for this one ,it glides vey well! The last spot I launched was hard packed dirt and the wing cracked on landing easy fix, can't wait to launch it again!

WAY Under rated Rocket/Plane Review by Doug

I built the original in appx 1971-2. If you're a builder of the original decades ago DO build this, you'll have a great time with it.
This design was one of clear brilliance. Even a kid could build a boost glider that the builder would have to TRY and screw up or get to fail. You'll never get tired of watching this lift off the pad, then watching the Orbiter return to ground flying in big, magestic circles.
This one is just like the original only even easier to build, Doug

eager for delivery!! Review by Nathanael

i have recently ordered this model and it should arrive tomorrow. i am extremely excited as it will be my first boost-glider. i am slightly nervous as there is not an ideal field nearby but our current field should work. i am looking forward to a tricky and engaging build followed by beautiful flights!!

You cannot NOT like this one. Great come backer. Flies great. Fun and brings back those memories from the 70s. A true Estes Original! Get It-Period !

Skydart 1- Flew great...too great Review by Miche

I built the original almost 35 years ago. Flew great...went up true and flew nicely once trimmed. Then some wind took it while it was circling overhead and it flew hundreds of yards downwind only to land out of reach on a school roof. :-( Maybe I'll build the new version and try again.
