I just built my first D-Region Tomahawk and plan to build a couple more to customize with my kids. The design is really solid with a nice, tight-fitting lower section. The time to build this rocket is very quick. A lot of surface area to customize with your own painting and decal scheme. Given the weight, I agree with another reviewer that a 24" parachute is likely preferred - particularly since the 18" nylon that comes with this kit can be used to replaced 18 inchers on other rockets you may build.
