Best rocket I've had ! And a durable rocket ! mines crashed on the asphalt one day and its still flying ! it flies great on a G-75 metal storm

This is one sweet flying rocket. the fins are very strong, the motor mount construction is sound, and the upscale from the original design is simply awesome. Infact, with careful planning and building, it can easily be used for an NAR level one certification, as many have.

FINALLY got to launch my Mega Max yesterday...TWICE! Major crowd pleaser and my wife even said "we need more rockets like that one!" (ProSeries) I got my orignal RedMax in 6th grade (1979) and just is the past few years gotten nieces and nephews involved in model rocketry. I also have MiniMax, so rhe whole 'family' is part of my collection now.

This thing is huge!!! Estes hit the nail on the head with this one. I see a LOT of these rockets at every launch I go to. This one will definitely become a collectors item. It wasn't hard to build considering its size and they fly GREAT on G's. I have seen them fly on H's and I's as well and not come apart. Great job on this one Estes! Hats off :)

What a pleasure this was to build. Looking forward to its first launch on an Estes G-40w for it's first launch and if all goes well the second launch on a Cesaroni G-80 Skidmark. This is a popular rocket at the high power launches.

I loved the Der Red Max rockets, the Mini and regular look great and fly great. I built my Mega Max stock. I launch with a Club, need room to fly this one. It flew straight and deployment was good. I suggest adding rail buttons while building,in case in club launching you must use a high power pad.

I recently purchased this rocket, and WOW, what an awesome rocket. This is my second Pro Series II rocket. Very easy to assemble, Very sturdy fins, and extra sticker sheet for more options is cool too. Cannot wait to launch as soon as the ground dries up.

Reminds me of the Big Bertha, with that 'slower' realistic lift off. All that Fire n Smoke. Classic Design is a pleaser too. Add it to your fleet ASAP!

First impression: Wow! I mean, this thing is huge. Easy build, love the layered fin design. While I modified mine to accept larger motors, I still built it stock. Easy to build, and looks great. Flies great, too! Good job Estes! Now, lets upscale some others.......

My Mom gave me a Der Big Red Max launch set about 1979. Loved it and have been launching rockets ever since. The first time I saw that Estes was going to release Mega Der Red Max, I had to have one!!! Because I wanted to use only high power motors, I used rail buttons instead of the launch lugs. It is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS ROCKET!!
