just got back from a local picnic and launch, where I killed one of the last original Super Neon rockets; the parachute was just a bit undertucked and as a result, it failed to escape the rocket after the ejection charge. the outcome was a bashed in body tube and six dismembered tube fins. I plan to apply what i learned today to it's big brother. (Posted on 5/3/12)

Like the others, I found this to be an easy rocket to build. It flies straight and true on the big E, with the parachute being a little too effective. It's also easy to repair the fins with their 45 degree angle. My fav to date (Posted on 6/23/11)

Who OH WHY do they use those stupid water decals especially so big. I ruined both of them trying to put them on. I can see small letters or such but something that big???? COME ON!!! Now I have to go back to hobby lobby and if I am lucky I can find purple letters to spell out Super Nova XL.The rocket is easier to build than skill level three, until you get to the decals, skill level 8 or something, never had luck with water decals. If you like model rockets, you need this one. it comes with a wonderful nose cone and 24 in! parachute. It also likes "D' &"E" engines! It can go over heights of 1,000 ft. ! (Posted on 4/5/11)

It took me only 2 days to build....... It did not seem as hard as a skill level 3 rocket. It had a fast, stable flight and has a very cool look.
