The construction materials are the strongest I have ever used in a low/mid power kit. Body tube, fin can and fins, and nylon chute are very sturdy. Heavy rocket that flies well in stronger winds. Not much rod tilt needed here. I recommend using a CA super glue on motor mount assembly and fins. Painted as shown looks like the real thing on pad! Great flights on D or E's! (Posted on 11/19/12)

When this rocket came out in 1985 it was immediately on my list to own. Very good decals and easy to assemble. The original model was made for the "new" D engines, but today you have the choice of the equivalent of two D engines by selecting the "E" engine. Great rocket for your collection! I just built my first D-Region Tomahawk and plan to build a couple more to customize with my kids. The design is really solid with a nice, tight-fitting lower section. The time to build this rocket is very quick. A lot of surface area to customize with your own painting and decal scheme. Given the weight, I agree with another reviewer that a 24" parachute is likely preferred - particularly since the 18" nylon that comes with this kit can be used to replaced 18 inchers on other rockets you may build.
