i love it Review by Brenton
this rocket is one of the best rockets in my opinion. it combines good size, speed and performence. (Posted on 1/10/12)
What a solid construct! Review by Robert
I just built my first D-Region Tomahawk and plan to build a couple more to customize with my kids. The design is really solid with a nice, tight-fitting lower section. The time to build this rocket is very quick. A lot of surface area to customize with your own painting and decal scheme. Given the weight, I agree with another reviewer that a 24" parachute is likely preferred - particularly since the 18" nylon that comes with this kit can be used to replaced 18 inchers on other rockets you may build. speedy Review by jesper
the rocket is so cool because the smooth surface makes it extremely fast in the air and falls ellegant down again. (Posted on 11/1/11)
needs bigger 'chute Review by JimmyJames
I've reviewed this rocket before - love it; fun to build and flies great... with one hitch, the 18" chute is insufficient for good recovery and resulted in many broken fins. I finally wisened up and attached a 24" chute and now recovery is perfect. By all means, buy this rocket, but also buy a 24" chute and use the included 18" for another rocket. (Posted on 9/20/11)

perfect flights Review by JimmyJames
My first E powered rocket and I'm stoked! Super fun to build and flights are nothing short of spectacular. Recovery is awesome with the handsome chute, but I'd recommend finding a soft landing area as she still comes down rather fast and I'd hate to bust any fins (one came off after a hard landing, but was easy to replace). Seems like it goes to about 1000' or so... great fun! (Posted on 6/25/11)
A great father-son activity! this rocket literally zooms off the launch pad Review by dude 1043
It is a great version of nasa's 1948 sounding rocket! when we said": lift off!", that rocketwas way up in the sky in the wink of an eye. I "fed" it an E-9-6 and in my perspective, Ithink it actually wen thigher than 800 ft. ! (Posted on 4/4/11)
very well designed Review by Ron
having been building and flying model rockets for 30 plus yrs I was impressed with its design and ease of construction. Very well made and strong. I would like to see Estes start replacing the rubber band shock cord with something a bit stronger. The 18" nylon parachute is a major plus! I havent flown mine yet but I'm really looking forward to it soon! (Posted on 3/1/11)
5/5 Review by Chase
I have about 30 Estes Model Rockets, and out of all of them, this one i personally think is the best. It is great for getting into higher powered rockets. (Posted on 1/21/11)
