I'm loving the return of the old color scheme and graphics! I never was a fan of "Black Bertha." This kit makes for a great second or third build. Get an Alpha and a Wizard or Yankee under your belt and then give this one a try. She's low, slow, and always puts on a good show, just watch out for weathercocking with those big fins. Longer delays with the recommended motors can make for some heart-stopping flights, too. (Posted on 4/20/12)

Fun To Build Review by Martin

Getting back into the hobby after a brief hiatus. Bought a Big Bertha since I've never had one and always wanted one. Easy and fun to build, and it has a good presence on the launch pad. Only downside is that one of the sheets of fin stock had a crack in it...had to fix it before I could build it. Estes should make a D/E version. (Posted on 2/11/12)

I first experienced this rocket in elementary school. The sheer size of it is awe inspiring to amateur rocket builders. The slow take off is exciting and to see such a bohemoth climb to incedible heights is spectacular. It's a skill level 1 rocket and is relatively easy to assemble. Definitely worth picking up this rocket whether you're a beginner of novice. (Posted on 12/10/11)
