Superb Rocket! Review by Apalm
I love this rocket. It's probably my favorite. It flies stably and rather high for such a large rocket. It's fairly easy to build and is very durable. It's eye-catching and really fun to launch! (Posted on 7/1/12)
My favorite rocket Review by Apalm
This rocket is fantastic! It's huge, eye-catching, easy to build, and great to launch! It flies nice and stably, and goes fairly high too. Overall, I love this rocket! (Posted on 7/1/12)
Great Model Review by Billy
If you're looking for a rocket that is a step up from the average standard engine size, then this is the perfect rocket for you! (Posted on 6/30/12)
One of my favorites Review by Mario
The through the wall fins make it quite durable, and comes down nice and slow with the large parachute. Lost mine to the trees when the wind picked up during my launch. Guess it's time for a new one. (Posted on 5/26/12)
Fun and fast Review by Scott
I introduced my sons into the world if rocketry with this one. It's a great first time build and after a few test flights with the c-11 we loaded a D and had a great time. This rocket flies strait as an arrow with the laser cut fins and the notches cut into the body for fin placement.
We painted ours gloss black with neon orange fins and nose cone for visibility. Glad we did because with the D engines it really took off. (Posted on 1/10/12)
Thumbs up on the design Review by Robert
Just finished building this rocket. Really good construction. The slots for the fins make for a great, very solid construct. I also like the color design on this rocket. I recommend going with a dark, military gray for the body so the Stormcaster name decals really stands out. Can't wait to fire this off and see its performance in the air. (Posted on 12/21/11)
A++++ Review by John
Design has through the wall fins, and is a very sharp looking design. Fly's outstanding, always arrow straight. (Posted on 11/18/11)
High and Mighty Review by Mickey S
This one roars off the pad and is an easy build. had a nice high flight and it came down like a feather. Good kit for getting into the bigger motors. (Posted on 8/25/11)
Rugged Construction Review by James
The Stormcaster is unique in that it has through-the-wall fin construction which makes it a very rugged rocket. I have flown a rocket built with the Stormcaster motor mount and fin mount on an Aerotech E28-7 motor to over 1600 ft. It is a great, rugged design that can take anything you can dish out. Tough design Review by James
The Stormcaster is a very rugged rocket and is the only estes rocket I have seen with through-the-wall fins. With a strong design and a "D" motor mount this rocket is a great flyer. ESTES NOTE: Other kits that have through-the-wall fins include the 1335 Mega Mosquito, 1951 Executioner, 2421 Cosmic Explorer, 3024 Phoenix Bird, 3210 Vector Force and soon to be released the 7220 Crossfire.
