I was impatient and took it out in a steady 10 to 15 mph wind, and it flew quite well. I held it steady into the wind, and it hovered most of the time. Easy to control, good power, durable, and I can't wait to try it in calm conditions. I was impressed and will probably buy another one. I hope Estes will continue to make these! (Posted on 1/17/13)

Wow, we bought the Spider from Estes at the same time we bought the X81. What a difference. The Spider was a total waste of money. Having flown many small rc planes I can tell you it was not pilot error. The X81 is a blast. Can fly it even when the wind is not calm. Loved it so much bought a total of 4 just to have some back ups. Great plane. (Posted on 2/25/12)

i love this plane i had got and estes plane for christmas but it was defective so i sent it back and got this one. it is amazing. i dont know how many times it crashed but it didnt even crack but a little on the wing when it hit the ground. this plane is the best one you could buy. Great Flying Plane! Cheap/Economic to fly! Review by Gooseman

This is a fast flying fun airplane. It's costs almost nothing to fly using my rechargable batteries! I love it! Anywhere I fly it people love to stop and watch! The low noise high speed motors are virtually hidden in flight. Making it fun to see fly and great for flying in areas around houses and such as it won't disturb the neighbors!
