This has been a great rocket from build to first launch. it is a very straightforward build with a very different and new fin attachement. The build can be completed in an afternoon, and is a beuty to watch fly. I did not buy the Maxi launch rod, but there seemed to be no ill effects. The rocket roared on the D12-3, and it was extremely loud!! There was a huge flame out the back, and it took off slowly, before increasing in speed to an approximate altitude of 450 ft. it drifted down on the huge 24" parachute before landing, completing a textbook flight on a nerverackingly windy day. I used a longer tube coupler and epoxied the fins on, and it is a great flier on either the D or E, and really scoots on a composite single use motor like the E30 (Posted on 9/5/11)
