first ever rocket launch Review by john

This is the first rocket I ever purchased for my son and I. We flew it on July 1st (Canada Day) and had an amazing time! Our second flight was amazing too but it got lost in a tree. Nine days later we went back to the park where we shot it from and found it (missing the payload section,cone and parachute). Oh well, it was still a great rocket. (Posted on 8/13/11)

Nice Review by Toys in space

I got this for my son for christmas. Now I have a fleet of estes rockets. All my kids come with us when we go to the launch field. It has become a great weekend activity. The rocket is a sinch to build and can carry little action figures or polly pockets into "space". Indeed my children now have several astronaut toys thanks to this rocket. The clear cargo capsule can be used on other same size tube rockets as well. I put it on a Mongoose and can launch higher with the two stage rocket. The kit comes with everything you need to launch except batteries and engines. It would be nice if the kit came with one A8-3 for testing. After you have a couple launches with the C6 motors you will never use the A8s again. Great product! (Posted on 1/7/11)

This was a present for my 4 year old son (okay, I bought it for him - sorry but I needed to show him some man stuff). I put it together and we went out to launch the Sky Lofter. The first three flights were with A engines. It did great reaching heights of about 125 - 150 feet. Then we changed to C engines and the rocket went out of sight. We finally got a glimpse of it on its way down with the parachute open. He spent the next half an hour telling me how awesome the rocket is. He wants to build more and launch them. We have a new model rocket hobbyist in the making!! I highly recommend this kit. It goes together easily and the rocket flew great. Do yourself a favor and take a kid out launching model rockets!
