I picked this launch-set up when I decided to get back into model rocketry. Assembly was easy and well instructed. It comes with the rocket, launch pad and controller. Only thing you need are engines. The rocket goes just enough height to where it's exciting, but not too high to where you will have trouble tracking and recovering it. Great for first timers. After years of absence from model rocketry, I decided to pick this launch set up. I was thrilled when it finally arrived in the mail. Assembly was incredibly easy (great for small children or beginners) and the multiple flights were exciting. The rocket flies high enough to be exciting, but not too far where it's hard to recovery. I bought this rocket for my son for his birthday, having no idea what to expect. We used up all of our launch engines in 1 day, he loved launching it so much! It was easy to assemble, even for a 6-year-old, and it flew to an impressive height - at least to our novice eyes! It was easy to recover, and has survived many launches. Great starter set for mini engines Review by Larry

I purchased this set primarily to get the controller. I love the small launch pad for mini rockets which is what I mostly fly and build. The Moon Mutt is a great little rocket, My only suggestion for improvement would be a longer shock cord. The nose cone put a dent in the top of the body tube. (Posted on 7/31/11)

does it come with everything? ESTES NOTE: Yes, you get a rocket that needs minor assembly, a launch pad and controller. You will need to purchase engines separately.
