Great Beginners Set! Review by James

I bought this for my son's birthday, the Amazon is very easy to assemble and we love flying it. We took our time and built the Crossfire ISX and it sparked an interest in myself to construct more rockets. The Crossfire really soars! My son was so excited he just jumped up and down while looking for it after recovery. My son is having fun selecting a couple of more to fly and I enjoy looking thorugh the various rockets in your catalog. (Posted on 5/18/12)

We purchsed 3 of these for our Webelo scouts. We worked on the rockets in a couple of our meetings and then had a launch date. The boys had a great time and the rockets worked flawlessly! When I first went to get this launch set, I was going to get the heli-cat, but looking closer at the price tags, I saw that they were the same price so I bought the Tandem-X set and fell in love with it at first piece. I took out to SARA and launched it and what a joy. The height you get off of the Crossfire ISX was amazing and to see the giant Amazon flutter to the ground was awesome. Ive already built the Amazon,but not the Crossfire. The Amazon flies really good and its also my biggest rocket. It flies slower than the little rockets like the Sky Dart.The fins are durable. The Crossfire fins are nice because they are made of wood. Im going to paint it camo with a red nose cone. (Posted on 1/30/12)

Amazon and Crossfire - A Winning Combination! Review by Robert

This is a great way to start model rocketry as you get two different building experiences and rockets to enjoy. The Amazon was a quick assembly with has a dramatically different trajectory than the Crossfire. The Crossfire is a bit more involved but still a manageable construction experience. It flew really high and the unique fin design worked really nicely in flight. Unfortunately, the wind carried our Crossfire into a tree when we used a C engine. However, we like this rocket so much, that we immediately ordered a replacement and look forward to rebuilding it - as well as having a second Amazon in our line-up! Enjoy! (Posted on 11/22/11)
